Where you can trek around Koraput
Koraput’s trails are less crowded than most hill destinations in India. Here are the places our guests trek most.

Deomali, the highest peak in Odisha
Deomali is about 60 km from Koraput town. Sources quote its height between 1,672 m and 1,762 m. The trail passes brooks, deep valleys and tribal villages at the foothills, and suits both beginners and experienced trekkers. The way down can be slippery, so wear shoes with a good grip. October to March is the best season.
Rathibali Waterfall, at the foot of Deomali
About 60 km from Koraput town, Rathibali drops in steps over a single rock. You can climb the rock for a closer look at the water, which makes it an easy add-on to a Deomali trip.
Bari Waterfall
Bari Waterfall is one of the stops on our guided trekking route, together with Deomali and Kaliyamali. Message us your dates and group size and we will share the route plan for your trek.

Duduma Waterfall
Duduma is about 92 km from Koraput and falls roughly 157 m on the border with Andhra Pradesh. A short walk from the parking area takes you to the viewpoints. It looks best during or just after the monsoon. Please do not swim here, as the currents can be strong.

Talamali and Kalyamali hilltops
The grassy hilltops around our Talamali and Kalyamali camps are made for easy walks at sunrise and sunset. They are part of our camping itineraries, so you can walk, camp and rest in the same place.
Talamiting and Punjisil waterfalls
Short forest walks lead to these waterfalls, which we include in selected tour itineraries. Your guide will pick the right route for the season.
