Kalyamali

Kalyamali, nestled within the eastern ghats of Koraput District, is Odisha’s fourth-highest peak, soaring to an elevation of 1548 meters. Its sheer natural beauty and imposing mountain cliffs offer an unforgettable sightseeing experience. Surrounded by lush green mountains on three sides, this natural wonder is complemented by an astonishing rock cliff on the other, providing a once-in-a-lifetime vista. After reaching the last village, a trek of 1.5 km, spanning 30-45 minutes, leads to its summit.

Thuria Konda

Thuria Konda, the second-highest peak in Odisha’s eastern ghats, stands tall at 1597 meters (5240 feet). This unique hill in Koraput District is cherished by both hikers and trekkers alike. A visit to Thuria Konda promises an unforgettable experience and awe-inspiring views. A trek of approximately one and a half hours rewards you with mesmerizing vistas, including a sight of Odisha’s highest peak, Deomali Hills.

To reach Thuria Konda, head to Galigabdar waterfall, cross it, and proceed to Galigabderu village. Park your vehicle here and embark on a one-hour trek to the summit. It’s a moderate-level trek, making it a must-visit destination for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Gumaduduma Waterfall

Gumaduduma Waterfall is a haven for nature enthusiasts, a pristine and concealed treasure of Koraput. This wide horsetail waterfall offers a safe and picturesque natural bathing experience beneath the open sky, surrounded by lush greenery. Located near Ucheipada village, it’s just 3-4 kilometers from the nearby market, Onkadeli. A trek of up to 1 km from the village is all it takes to reach this waterfall. Seek the guidance of locals if you’re unsure about the exact location. To witness this beauty, head to the Lamtaput-Machkund-Onkadeili main market and make your way to Ucheipada village.

Talamiting Waterfall

Named after the village ‘Talamiting,’ this waterfall ranks among the top destinations during your Koraput tour. As you approach the village, you’ll be enchanted by the Great Himalayan vibes that permeate the surroundings. Mother Nature has crafted her own “Natural infinity pool” here, making it an ideal spot for relaxation with friends and family. After reaching the village, a 30-minute walk leads to the stream, followed by a 50-meter stroll along the stream to reach the pool. Situated 70 km from Koraput town and 50 km from Semiliguda town, this place is a must-visit.
